Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

 

Seeking a candidate with a keen interest to develop a career in Energy Sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the Energy derivatives franchise as well as pricing & execution for existing client base as part of the overall sales team. This is a key role within a leading and fast growing risk management business in the region.

 

Primary duties will include:

  • Educate new and existing customers on commodities risk management for both vanillas and structured products.
  • Work as part of the team to achieve team revenue budgets
  • Assist with internal procedures relating to the onboarding of new clients.
  • Respond and provide proper follow-up to all incoming inquiries from the corporate web-site and other marketing programs.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with commodity industry experts.
  • Identify, verify, analyze and provide support to the oversight for trading risks acting as a key link between trading staff, management and risk management.
  • Ensure that all OTC business conducted with clients are within the relevant risk limits and compliance parameters.
  • Closely work with trading desks and other control functions to implement new products/ underlyings if needed 
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and records are maintained for audit purposes.
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
  • If necessary, travel across the region to meet up with onshore clients or attend conferences

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

 

  • OTC energy derivatives pricing and execution – experience required.
  • Relationship management skills – required
  • Language skills highly regarded – English & Mandarin, both spoken and written
  • MAS Modules 2A &6A

 

Working environment:

  • 4 days in office, 1 day remote
