Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

 

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Sales Executive to support the growth of our precious metals business across China and Greater China markets. The successful candidate will assist in developing client relationships, generating sales opportunities, executing precious metals transactions, and supporting daily trading activities for gold, silver, platinum, and other precious metals.

This role is ideal for a candidate interested in building a career in commodities trading, bullion markets, and international sales. Mandarin fluency is required due to frequent interaction with Chinese clients and counterparties. Singapore’s growing role as an Asian precious metals hub and the increasing focus on physical bullion trading make China-focused sales and relationship management particularly important.  

 

Primary duties will include:

Sales & Business Development

  • Support the desk in servicing existing customers across China, Hong Kong and  Taiwan
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with:
    • Bullion dealers
    • Jewellery manufacturers
    • Industrial users
    • Refineries
    • Financial institutions
  • Conduct client outreach via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide market updates.

Trading & Market Support

  • Assist with execution of precious metals transactions including:
    • Physical gold
    • Physical silver
    • OTC bullion transactions
    • Hedging-related activities
  • Monitor precious metals prices, market news, and macroeconomic developments.
  • Prepare daily market commentary and client pricing sheets.
  • Support trade booking and deal execution processes.

Client Relationship Management

  • Handle RFQs (Requests for Quotations) from clients.
  • Coordinate trade settlement, logistics, and delivery requirements.
  • Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain CRM records and client activity reports.

Market Intelligence

  • Track developments in:
    • Gold and silver markets
    • China precious metals demand
    • Refining industry developments
    • Central bank and macroeconomic trends
  • Prepare market intelligence reports for management and clients.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with:
    • Trading desk
    • Operations
    • Finance
    • Logistics
    • Compliance
  • Ensure trades are executed and settled accurately.

 

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

 

  • 0–3 years of experience in:
    • Commodities
    • Financial markets
    • Bullion
    • Metals trading
    • Institutional sales
  • Fresh graduates with strong interest in trading are welcome. Entry-level precious metals roles commonly emphasize industry interest and training potential.

Language requirements:

Working environment: 

  • 4 days in office, 1 day WFH
