We are undergoing a multi‑year modernization effort across our front, middle, and back‑office systems, leveraging cloud-native architectures, microservices, and now agentic AI engineering to accelerate delivery and reshape end‑to‑end payment flows.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose

To evaluate business requirements and assist in building dedicated test plans to validate IT deliveries. To design and implement automation builds that streamline testing processes and improve efficiency. To produce specific regression test packs for senior project resources and management to review and approve. To develop and execute automation testing alongside comprehensive End-to-End UAT, ensuring that all operational workflow failures are identified and communicated to both manager and IT for resolution.

  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Requirement Analysis
  • Review and interpret business requirements to ensure clarity and testability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify critical workflows and risk areas.
  • Test Planning & Design
  • Develop detailed test plans and strategies for manual and automated testing.
  • Update regression test packs to include latest release/ workflows which can be automated.
  • Automation Build
  • Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts for functional and regression testing.
  • Integrate automation solutions into Azure (CI/CD) pipelines for continuous testing.
  • Automation Testing
  • Execute automated test cases to validate IT deliveries and ensure system stability.
  • Analyse automation test results and report defects promptly.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Conduct comprehensive End-to-End UAT to validate operational workflows.
  • Document and communicate workflow failures to Senior members and IT teams for resolution.
  • Quality Assurance & Reporting
  • Ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.

Provide regular status updates and detailed test reports to senior members/ Managers.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (manual and automated).
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and integration of automated tests.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Background in Finance, ideally FX or Cross Border Payments
  • Strong Project related experience and working knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodologies
  • Proven record in performing User Acceptance Testing for numerous Back Office enhancements
  • Understanding of Operational Teams, Settlements, Reconciliations, and Investigations
  • Experience of SWIFT Standards and ACH settlement, ISO 20022 preferred
