With over 5,500 employees and over 400,000 retail and institutional clients from more than 80 offices spread across five continents, we’re a Fortune-100, Nasdaq-listed provider, connecting clients to the global markets – focusing on innovation, human connection, and providing world-class products and services to all types of investors.

At StoneX, we offer you the opportunity to be part of an institutional-grade financial services network that connects companies, organizations, and investors to the global markets ecosystem. As a team member, you'll benefit from our unique blend of digital platforms, comprehensive clearing and execution services, personalized high-touch support, and deep industry expertise. Elevate your career with us and make a significant impact in the world of global finance.

StoneX is modernizing and scaling the applications that power our global Operations—trade lifecycle, confirmations, reconciliations, margining, settlements, and regulatory reporting. As a Senior Solution Analyst, you’ll sit with a full‑stack development squad (React/Node.js/TypeScript) and partner with Ops stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, testable solutions, user journeys, and technical work items. You will own discovery through delivery: shaping requirements, detailing process and data flows, supporting build and test, and ensuring releases land cleanly into production with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Product/Analysis

  • Lead discovery with Operations SMEs to capture functional and non‑functional requirements, map current vs. target process flows, and identify pain points, controls, and metrics.
  • Break epics into user stories with acceptance criteria, data contracts, UX states, and system interaction diagrams; maintain backlog health and readiness.
  • Define data models and integration requirements (APIs, events, batch) across upstream/downstream systems; clarify ownership, SLAs, and error handling.

Design & Delivery

  • Collaborate with engineers on solution options (UI, services, data, security), run fit/gap and impact analyses, and drive decisions through trade‑off frameworks.
  • Partner with QA to design test strategies (functional, regression, data quality, NFRs such as performance, resilience, and security).
  • Coordinate UAT with Operations, manage defects to closure, and prepare release readiness artifacts (runbooks, cutover, rollback, controls).

Run & Improve

  • Monitor post‑release outcomes (cycle time, exceptions, control breaches, user satisfaction), and drive continuous improvement via analytics and user feedback.
  • Document operating procedures, playbooks, and control evidence for audits (e.g., SOX, record keeping, reconciliations), and support incident/root cause analysis.

Stakeholder & Governance

  • Operate within StoneX’s delivery governance, ensuring traceability from requirements through test and release, present progress and risks to leadership.
  • Champion engineering‑aligned analysis—clear specs that accelerate build, reduce rework, and strengthen reliability.

Outcomes & KPIs

  • Lead time from validated requirement to production release
  • Defect escape rate and data quality (e.g., reconciliation exceptions)
  • User adoption & satisfaction (CSAT/NPS for Ops users)
  • Operational controls adherence (SOX/record keeping evidence)
  • Change success rate and MTTR for incidents

Qualifications

Essential Experience & Skills

  • 6–10 years in business/solution analysis for financial Operations (trade capture through settlement), including confirmations, reconciliations, margin calls, and exception management.
  • Previous experience in finance industry (banking, fintech, regulatory)
  • Data analysis proficiency (SQL), data mapping, schema design basics, and understanding of performance/reliability tradeoffs.
  • Proven delivery of workflow and data‑centric applications with controls, audit trails, and reporting.
  • Comfortable partnering with full‑stack engineering (React, Node.js, TypeScript) and API/event‑driven architectures; able to specify UI states, service contracts, error semantics, and observability signals.
  • Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), backlog management (Azure DevOps/Jira), BDD/acceptance criteria, and test design.
  • CI/CD awareness; version control (Git), environments and release pipelines; familiarity with Azure services and modern observability.
  • Experience of preparing control evidence (e.g. SOX) and working with audit/compliance partners in productionized financial systems.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to StoneX platforms/systems such as Murex, GMI, XTP, G2, and Oracle backed data/finance flows.
  • Event streaming (Kafka), message orchestration, and batch scheduling; experience with reconciliations tooling and exception dashboards.
  • UI/UX collaboration (React state management, design systems), API design (REST/GraphQL), and secure integration patterns.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance/Math, or equivalent experience.

Behavioral Competencies

  • Systems thinking, structured problem solving, and clear written specifications.
  • Stakeholder influence and facilitation across Ops, Engineering, and Control functions.
  • Bias to action with measurable outcomes; ownership through production stabilization.
