Position Purpose:

Seeking an experienced candidate with a keen interest to develop a meat and livestock cash brokerage desk for a leading and fast-growing risk management business in the region, based in Shanghai. The successful candidate will have existing relationships to capitalize on in the domestic pork, poultry, and beef. The candidate would be required to have the confidence to explore import and export opportunities for those markets within the APAC region both within the StoneX global business and beyond. Job performance will be based on the overall revenue generation of the candidate who will be renumerated through discretionary bonuses on the back of those results.

Primary duties will include: 

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with commodity industry experts.
• Cross sell and collaborate with colleagues in APAC and the wider business.
• Educate customers on commodities trading and risk management.
• Assist with internal procedures relating to the onboarding of new clients.
• Respond and provide proper follow-up to all incoming inquiries from the corporate website and other marketing programs.
• Subsidized educational support will be provided to the successful candidate where necessary.
• Identify, verify, analyze, and provide support to the oversight for trading risks acting as a key link between trading staff and management.
• Ensure all material market risks are captured and considered.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and records are maintained for audit purposes.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.

To land this role you will need:

• Experience working in the meat and livestock cash brokerage sector in China.
• Extensive knowledge of the domestic pork, poultry, and beef preferred.
• Candidate should only apply if willing to work flexible hours to get deals done.

• Language skills highly regarded, strong English considered a necessity.
• Degree level

Working Environment:

• Hybrid (1-day WFH, 4 days in office)
