We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales professional to join our Global Markets team, focused on Listed Derivatives across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. The role involves driving new business development, maintaining and expanding client relationships, and working closely with trading, product, and operations teams to deliver strategic solutions in listed futures and options.

This is a revenue-generating role that requires a deep understanding of derivatives markets, client needs, and the Australian and regional regulatory landscape. An existing portfolio of Australian and APAC clients is preferred.

Primary duties will include:

Client Coverage & Relationship Management

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of institutional clients including asset managers, hedge funds, superannuation funds, banks, proprietary trading desks, and corporates across Australia and the broader APAC region.
  • Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers across the client base, including portfolio managers, traders, and heads of dealing.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for listed derivatives execution, clearing, and related services for Australian and APAC-based clients.

Business Development

  • Identify and onboard new clients across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on the Australian institutional market.
  • Drive regional sales strategy in alignment with global business goals, leveraging StoneX’s global capabilities to address local client needs.
  • Promote exchange-traded futures and options across asset classes (equities, rates, commodities, FX) on Australian and international exchanges.

Product Knowledge & Execution

  • Provide market colour, product education, and execution strategies tailored to Australian market participants.
  • Work closely with internal desks and clearing operations to structure customized trading and clearing solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, ASIC regulatory developments, ASX and other exchange updates, and the competitive landscape in Australia.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product managers, quant teams, and legal/compliance to develop and deliver client solutions compliant with Australian regulations.
  • Coordinate with exchange partners (e.g. ASX, SGX, CME, ICE) for product promotion and joint initiatives.
  • Collaborate with StoneX’s global teams to ensure seamless cross-border execution and clearing for clients trading on international exchanges.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in listed derivatives sales, trading, or clearing services, with a strong focus on the Australian market.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or CFA preferred.
  • Proven track record of revenue generation and client development within Australia and the APAC region.
  • Strong understanding of global listed derivatives markets and clearing infrastructure, including ASX Clear (Futures) and international CCP arrangements.
  • Existing client relationships with Australian institutional investors (superannuation funds, asset managers, hedge funds) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ASIC regulatory requirements, including the Australian Financial Services License regime and relevant market integrity rules.
