Responsibilities

Position purpose:

The Compliance Monitoring Officer (Polish Speaker), is responsible for performing ongoing monitoring and oversight across the firm’s business units, ensuring that all operations comply with CySEC, ESMA, and internal governance standards.

This role focuses on the execution of the Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP), providing assurance that the Company’s controls and processes remain effective, proportionate, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

The officer will support the Head of Compliance by identifying and escalating risks, performing reviews, and providing feedback on remediation actions to foster a culture of continuous compliance improvement.

 

Primary duties include:

  • Ensure Compliance of the Company to prevailing Laws, Circulars and Directives issued by CySEC;
  • Completion of ongoing tasks that sit within the team’s Compliance Monitoring Programme (‘CMP’);
  • Conduct regular reviews of marketing, affiliates, and client communication to confirm alignment with regulatory standards.;
  • Oversee and monitor customer complaints and dissatisfaction cases, ensuring timely escalation, root cause analysis, and reporting to the Head of Compliance.;
  • Conduct regulatory horizon scanning — monitor regulatory websites and circulars for new or updated obligations.;
  • Review and maintain internal registers and compliance logs.;
  • Identify control weaknesses and assist in the implementation of remedial and preventive actions.;
  • Draft and present monitoring reports and findings to the Head of Compliance & AML.;
  • Support the updating of policies and procedures as required by new regulatory developments.;
  • Conduct Compliance risk reviews in order to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks that arise from failing to adhere to regulation, standards and internal policies;
  • Track the implementation of remediation points arising from risk reviews and ensure completion by stakeholders;
  • Handle ad hoc compliance-related tasks to support departmental needs.

 

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Compliance Monitoring Role;
  • Excellent Understanding of CySEC’s Laws, Circulars and Directives;
  • Excellent Understanding of ESMA’s guidelines;
  • Holder of CySEC’s Advanced Certificate (considered an advantage);
  • Holder of CySEC AML Certificate (considered an advantage);
  • Fluency in Polish and English, both written and verbal.;
  • Any other language is considered to be an advantage.

Qualification Requirement: As part of your role, you may be required to obtain a relevant professional qualification. Where applicable, this must be successfully completed within your probation period, with support provided by the company to help you meet this requirement.
