Responsibilities

Position Purpose:  As a contracted SEO Manager, you will play a critical role in managing complex CMS and domain migration projects from an SEO perspective. You will work closely with migration squads, developers, and product teams to define and refine technical requirements, NFRs (Non-Functional Requirements), and SEO benchmarks. 

This is a highly technical role focused on SEO implementation during migrations, requiring deep expertise in site architecture, crawl optimization, Core Web Vitals and structured data. You will be the SEO point of contact for migration squads, ensuring minimal risk and maximum performance post-launch by embedding SEO requirements into Dev refinements and QA processes. 

Primary duties will include:
 

Creating and executing SEO strategy for CMS and domain migrations, ensuring SEO integrity throughout the process. 

  • Defining technical requirements for developers, including redirects, canonicalization, structured data, and Core Web Vitals compliance.
  • Conducting pre- and post-migration benchmarking, risk assessments, and performance audits.

Providing technical SEO expertise  

  • Driving site architecture planning, crawl optimization, and indexation strategies. 
  • Overseeing performance analysis, JavaScript rendering checks, and site speed improvements. 
  • Ensuring compliance with NFRs related to SEO performance and scalability. 

Collaborating with stakeholders & other teams

  • Working closely with Dev teams during refinement sessions to ensure SEO requirements are implemented correctly. 
  • Partnering with product, UX, and content teams to maintain SEO best practices during redesigns and migrations. 

Advanced analysis and reporting  

  • Building and maintaining technical SEO dashboards using tools like Power BI, Looker Studio, and MS Excel. Providing actionable insights and communicating migration progress and impact to senior stakeholders. 

Managing international SEO

  • Managing SEO for multi-domain, multi-regional sites, ensuring proper HREFLang implementation and localization strategies. 

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven SEO experience with a track record of successful migrations (front and back-end)
  • Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, and SEO work and reporting automation 
  • Deep knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an SEO Manager 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • HTML/CSS/JS knowledge 
  • PowerBI, MS Excel, Looker Studio knowledge

  • Skilled in SEO QA processes for pre-launch and post-launch validation.
  • ROI orientated approach to task prioritisation, knowing beforehand the outcome of your actions.
  • Time management skills: balance between quality work and deadline pressures, ability to deliver / sign-off decisions on your own.
  • Online trading / global finance / financial sector experience will be a great plus.
