Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

 

StoneX Financial Pte. Ltd. is seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Development & Sales Manager/AVP to join our Dairy & Food Derivatives team in Singapore. This mid-level role is suited for professionals with commodity and/or financial markets experience who are passionate about client acquisition, business growth, and expanding activity across both listed commodity derivatives and OTC products in Asia.

 

We are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong drive for success—someone who thrives under pressure, takes initiative, and consistently delivers results while building long-term client partnerships.

 

 

Primary duties will include: 

 

Business Development & Sales

  • Drive client acquisition and revenue growth in dairy and food derivatives across listed and OTC markets in Asia.
  • Identify, engage, and onboard new commercial, institutional, and financial clients.
  • Promote and cross-sell StoneX’s broader commodity risk management and financial solutions.

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with both existing and new clients.
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships within the dairy, food, and related sectors.
  • Onboard clients in line with internal processes and ensure timely documentation refresh.
  • Understand client hedging and risk management needs, designing tailored solutions across futures, options, and OTC contracts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by delivering market insights, trade ideas, and customized strategies.

Market Development & Strategy

  • Monitor commodity markets, trends, and regulatory developments to support client engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (trading, risk, research, operations) to deliver best-in-class execution and service.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in commodity derivatives, sales, brokerage, or trading.
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, ideally in agriculture /food sectors.
  • Proven track record in business development and sales.
  • Knowledge of exchange-traded derivatives, OTC contracts, and risk management tools.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, high eagerness for success, and drive to exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English required, additional Asian languages an advantage.

 

Working environment:

  • Hybrid - 4 days in office, 1 day remote
