Responsibilities

Position purpose: To create, craft, and deliver top-quality video content that positions StoneX as a thought leader in the financial industry. The video editor will be responsible for producing content with rapid turnaround, particularly for time-sensitive broadcasts, while maintaining a consistently high standard. This role also involves optimizing videos for a range of digital platforms, including YouTube and social media.

Primary duties will include: 

  • Coordinate with our studio team to deliver fast-turnaround, time-sensitive video content, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Implement StoneX graphics, visuals, b-roll, and relevant assets at appropriate moments.
  • Edit long-form videos into bitesize formats optimized for broader social distribution across platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Ensure that video formats, metadata, and graphics are optimized for various social media platforms to maximize engagement, visibility, and reach.
  • Contribute to content creation processes by working closely with different teams across the Marketing department, providing creative input when necessary.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in video, social media, and broadcasting, ensuring content is always at the cutting edge.
  • Review video performance data and collaborate with team members to make data-driven decisions for future content improvements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting quickly to changing priorities while ensuring consistent high-quality output.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for:

  • A passionate editor with a clear understanding of creative processes, video production software, and industry trends.
  • Calm, confident, pragmatic, enthusiastic, and adaptable; capable of managing tight deadlines and shifting priorities while maintaining a high level of output.
  • Able to receive and act upon direction maturely and to contribute positively in a collaborative working environment.
  • Self-motivated, with a desire to develop and a willingness to learn about StoneX Group’s products and services.
  • High degree of attention to detail, taking responsibility for ensuring all work is accurate, consistent, and meets the required standards.
  • Able to communicate effectively with both creative and non-creative teams to ensure smooth project workflows.
  • Experience in understanding and leveraging video analytics and insights to drive content improvements and optimization.

Essential:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of professional video production experience, with a proven track record of working within tight deadlines.
  • Extensive experience in storyboarding, pre-production planning, and post-production editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage post-production processes, including colour correction, sound mixing, and motion graphics.
  • Experience in optimizing content for digital platforms, specifically social media and YouTube.

Desirable:

  • Experience with camera operating, lighting, sound, directing, and producing.
  • Previous experience within the Financial Services sector or an understanding of personal finance, trading, and/or asset management.
  • Experience working in TV broadcasting or new media agency environments.
  • Familiarity with video content management platforms and video SEO optimization techniques.
