Responsibilities

As a member of the Websites Operations Team, the Web Content Manager – Team Lead Retail will have responsibility for the successful execution of some of the most complex website initiatives through our CMS, Sitecore as well as NextGen. They will also lead a team of min. 5 Website Editors. This is a global role with responsibilities extending over all regional websites, with a main focus on retail regions.

 

Reporting to the Global Websites Operations Manager, in this role you will collaborate with the CMS Product Owner, Technology teams and business stakeholders to deliver new website functionality, fully optimized web pages and personalized digital experiences. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variation in their work and the ability to participate in various roles such as site planning & optimization, web technology and functionality, customer experience, and line management.

 

Primary duties will include:  

 

  • Leading the daily maintenance of website content across all global websites with main focus on retail regions
  • Being the in-house expert on the website CMS, training and supporting all CMS users, updating training and support documentation, defining good practice and ensuring good practice is maintained
  • Lead a team of 5 CMS Editors
  • Educate, and sometimes tactfully re-educate, other CMS editors on how to complete common tasks while adhering to our standards and best practices
  • Reporting CMS issues to Technology teams and managing solutions through specification, testing and deployment
  • Liaising with Technology teams on new developments to improve customer experience on the website
  • Maximize use of CMS features and identify ways to gain operational efficiencies in the publishing and web management processes
  • Liaise with business stakeholders, external partners and development teams to drive automation initiatives: content reusage across website and CVM journeys, creative assets storage and maintenance, etc
  • Project management – independently using a number of tools, spreadsheets and trackers to prioritize tasks, document progress, flag issues, and coordinate with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Manage and meet deadlines for go-live with little supervision
  • Critically evaluating areas of the website and reviewing the customer journeys across the website to maximize customer need and drive conversions
  • Supporting the CMS migration to NextGen (self-training, team training, team support, participation in migrations)

Qualifications

To land this role you will need: 

  • 2+ years of team leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and support direct reports
  • 3+ years of experience in web management for consumer-facing websites, with hands-on expertise in content management systems - preferably headless CMS platforms (e.g., Kontent.ai, Uniform, Contentful) and/or enterprise-grade systems (e.g., Episerver, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager)
  • Proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of initiative and a track record of implementing effective solutions
  • Working knowledge of web publishing standards, including SEO best practices, accessibility, and responsive/mobile-first content layout
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and coordinate across time zones, working confidently in fast-paced, collaborative environments with global stakeholders
