Business Segment Overview:

The StoneX Payments business provides large, international institutional clients with access to bespoke FX and cross-border payment services in 140 local currencies and 180 countries. The StoneX Payments team is in search of a candidate for Financial Institutions Sales to focus the EMEA region and collaborate globally. This role will report to the EMEA Head of Financial Institution Sales and will examine and evaluate the short and long-term needs of the business while working with management to execute our growth strategy and achieve the organization’s objectives.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include: 

 

  • Provide input and support execution of the EMEA regional sales strategy for our Financial Institution cross-border payment product.
  • Assist in managing existing FI client portfolio in EMEA and drive revenue growth by generating new business via a healthy pipeline.
  • Support in building upon existing client relationships to maximize the value added to each customer and explore cross-sell opportunities within the StoneX Group.
  • Track and evaluate client feedback and payment performance statistics to identify client challenges, gather insights, and introduce product improvements.
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as regulatory compliance, trading, risk, client services, operations, and technology, to guarantee seamless integration of payment products and services
  • Stay abreast of trends, regulations, and advancements related to payments within the financial services industry, and offer insightful leadership and strategic advice to the organization.
  • Establish and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and product metrics to gauge performance, pinpoint improvement areas, and enhance payment offerings.
  • Create and disseminate product education material and documentation to internal teams, such as customer support and sales, to ensure comprehensive product knowledge and understanding.
  • Lead and contribute to RFIs and RFPs while ensuring that streamlined onboarding processes are in place to support new mandates.
  • Collaborate closely with FI RMs across Americas, EMEA and APAC to align and ensure adherence to the global strategy.
  • Prepare periodic reports and presentations for senior management on product performance, market trends, and product strategy.
  • Travel internationally and actively represent the firm and StoneX Payments business at industry events via relevant speaking engagements and panels as a subject matter expert and thought leader.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in commerce, finance, technology, or a relevant field. Postgraduate degree such as an MBA is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Extensive relevant banking experience in FX payments, Treasury sales, product management or similar roles within the financial services industry specifically facing financial institutions as a client base.
  • Strong understanding of the payments sector, including payment processing, card networks, AML/KYC regulations, risk management, and emerging payment technologies.
  • A robust understanding of FI client needs and the competitive landscape in the payments industry.
  • Experience in product development, including market analysis, product design, pricing, testing, and market entry strategies
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a data-oriented hands-on approach.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to influence and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and succinctly.
  • Strong interest in payment technology trends and future innovation  
  • A results-driven mentality with a proven track record of achieving product and business goals.
  • Ability to thrive in an increasingly global, high-speed, dynamic, and regulated environment with a strong adaptability and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Multilingual proficiency is a plus (not a requirement)
