We're looking for a Junior network engineer for Campinas or São Paulo, that will actively contribute to meaningful BAU work requests and work closely with Network Operation Engineers and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with projects and BAU work in the Network Operations team under leadership or mentor supervision.
    • Perform independent research prepare direction papers for the LAN and WAN environments
    • Perform project management and other special assignments as determined by the Network Operation Management.
    • Provide daily support of StoneX’s LAN, WAN, Wireless and Network Infrastructures. This includes monitoring, administering and troubleshooting to maximize network availability.
    • Perform written Root Cause Analysis documents for network outages and incidents when required.
    • Ability to resolve incidents, problems, and change requests in accordance with service-level agreements (SLA’s) and approved maintenance windows
    • Ability to perform migrations/upgrades and deploy new technologies/features as the network environment evolves
    • Work with team members on automation initiatives.
    • Research industry trends and becomes familiar with the laws and regulations of the firm.
    • Learn how to build customer relationships.
    • Utilize company resources to improve processes and procedures for team.
    • Update internal systems with the most current data and/or information.
    • Assist with preparing information and research materials for review
    • Maintain prompt and regular attendance.

Qualifications

 

  • Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems major
  • Familiar with CISCO routing and switching, Palo Alto firewalls or any other Network security vendor
  • Familiar with automation tools, Python, Ansible, Cloud computing and Cloud network concepts, and DNS management concepts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office

Work environment:

  • Office located in Campinas or São Paulo
  • Hybrid model (4 days/week in the office, 1 day/week remote)
  •  
  • This position is open for both São Paulo and Campinas.
