You can expect to make an impact on the business and experience a career defining apprenticeship program.  The program will start in January or February and go through until July, where the successful students upon attaining the university degree will be  considered for full-time positions that immediately follows the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose: 

We are looking for a curious and committed individual to join our Global Payments Operations team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of cross-border payments. You’ll rotate among different teams of the department and learn how global transactions are processed, settled, and reconciled, while also supporting the back-office functions that ensure operational accuracy and compliance. Through mentorship and real-world exposure, you’ll develop a strong foundation in financial operations and gain insight into the systems and processes that power international payments. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Support settlement activities, including payment instruction validations, confirmation matching and exception handling. 
  • Process and monitor payments across various currencies and systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
  • Investigate payment discrepancies, delays, or failures, and escalate issues as needed. 
  • Maintain accurate records of payment instructions, confirmations, and reconciliations. 
  • Reconcile transactions between internal systems and external counterparties or banks. 
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. Treasury, Trading Desk, Risk, Client Services) and external partners (e.g. banks or vendors) to resolve operational issues. 
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements. 
  • Support system testing and implementation of new tools or upgrades related to payment workflows. 
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders on payment volumes, errors, and KPIs.

Early Careers Requirements 

  • Pursuing a relevant bachelor’s degree course from an accredited university 
  • Finishing university by July-August 2026
  • Available for a January 2026 start on a full-time 6-month program

  

Working environment 

  • Hybrid (team dependent)
