Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

We are looking for a curious and committed individual to join IT Operations Centre (ITOC) . This role is pivotal to ensure the performance, stability, and continuous improvement of our enterprise applications. 

 

Important note: This is a 24/7 support role. Working in rotational shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) is mandatory to ensure continuous global application availability.

 

Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to) :

 

Application Support & Issue Resolution 

  • Collaborate with design, development, and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex application and system issues. 
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and eliminate underlying problems. 
  • Monitor application alerts and performance metrics for proactive issue detection and resolution. 
  • Debug server-side issues affecting application functionality and performance. 
  • Utilize ticketing tools effectively to manage, track, and resolve support incidents. 

System Configuration & Optimization 

  • Plan, execute, and validate configuration changes to optimize application quality and performance. 
  • Coordinate code migrations and deployments across development, testing, and production environments. 
  • Recommend and implement technical improvements to drive system efficiency and value. 

Documentation & Reporting 

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation on issue resolutions, system configurations, and support procedures. 
  • Develop and update a knowledge base of recurring issues, solutions, and technical best practices. 
  • Generate and present reports to stakeholders on system performance, health, and issue trends. 

Collaboration & Technical Support 

  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, including engineering, QA, customer support, and IT services. 
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to both internal stakeholders and external clients. 
  • Assist with system integrations to ensure seamless interoperability and performance. 

Training, Maintenance & Operations 

  • Deliver targeted technical training and documentation to internal teams. 
  • Develop and manage system maintenance schedules and upgrade plans. 
  • Oversee and manage the ticketing system to ensure timely and accurate issue resolution. 

Cross-Functional & Global Coordination 

  • Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to support application services across international environments. 
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment across geographically dispersed teams. 

Qualifications

Desirable Technical Skills

  • Operating Systems: Hands-on experience supporting both Windows and Linux servers. 

  • Networking - Basic Networking Knowledge, Understanding of Firewalls, Load balancer, routing mechanism and DNS  

  • Database Management: Knowledge in MS-SQL and Oracle databases; able to write simple and complex queries for investigation and resolution of technical/business support issues. 

  • ETL Tools: Working knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools for data processing and issue handling. 

  • Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; understanding of cloud application APIs and architecture. 

  • Scripting & Automation: Skilled in scripting with HTML, Python, PowerShell, and Linux shell scripting to automate tasks and manage scheduled jobs.

Early Careers Requirements 

  • Pursuing a relevant bachelor’s degree course from an accredited university 
  • Finishing university by July-August 2026
  • Available for a January 2026 start on a full-time 6-month program
