Business Segment Overview:

Position Purpose:

Responsible for financial statement analysis, credit scoring, limit setting, market research, and securities management.  Facilitate in project work for limits setting & visibility as well as integrating various data sets for more dynamic reporting. The position will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure limits are approved and monitored to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include:

 

  • Assess the credit risk and financial strength of new and existing counterparties while continually monitoring appropriate industry sector and country developments
  • Negotiate/administer the exchange of Corporate Guarantees, Netting Agreements, and Letters of Credit to mitigate counterparty risk
  • Monitor/manage counterparty credit exposure to ensure compliance within limits
  • Remain knowledgeable on current industry, regulatory, governing body, and INCO Termsd procedures for financial and physical transactions

 

  • Apply statistical segmentation techniques to classify credit risks and opportunities
  • Sophisticated qualitative & quantitative analysis of credit policies to ensure goals are attained
  • Develop predictive financial and analytical models using appropriate statistical methodologies, including trend and regression analysis in the banking sector
  • Extract, process, and transform data from multiple disparate sources including third party credit bureaus and alternative credit data into standardized reporting

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or General Business preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of credit & financial statement analysis, preferably within the trading & capital markets or within a financial institution
  • Basic proficiency of SQL, Python, R or other software package preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with S&P, DNBi, and Sarasa 3rd party software tools and techniques
  • Deep knowledge of futures/options/physical commodities/investment banking in South America and EMEA markets
  • Must be fluent in both Portuguese and English languages
