Position Purpose: We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. The role will encompass architecture and development across all tiers of the application stack. You will be part of a talented engineer team that works on low-latency mission-critical applications. Roles and responsibilities include application architecture and development across full software development lifecycle from concept and design to testing, collaborating with like-minded engineers. Technically leading team of highly skilled software engineers, forging relationships with key stakeholders across diverse user base.

Primary duties will include:

• Primary focus on server-side development with some exposure to Front-End, leveraging predominantly React
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle working within Agile methodology
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Ensure designs follow specifications, take part in technical design sessions
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Support continuous improvement by investigating new technology and presenting for architectural review

To land this role you will need:

• Experience developing complex, distributed event-based microservices using Node.js/Typescript. Some exposure to Java is a nice-to-have.
• Experience developing Restful API’s, knowledge of gRPC is a plus
• Experience build CI/CD pipelines (ideally Azure DevOps)
• Experience with TDD/BDD, testing framework
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases SQL and ideally No-SQL databases
• Experience working as part of global Agile team
• Working proficiency in English

 What makes you stand out:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience ideally within financial services, FinTech
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Exposure with distributed messaging / streaming platforms (Apache Kafka)

Education:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
