Business Segment Overview  

 

Institutional: Immerse yourself in the best-in-class institutional-grade technology, working alongside industry experts and gaining exposure to various asset classes, such as equities, options, fixed income securities, and advanced trading, research, and management technology.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose: To provide support to the local Securities Operations team by carrying out the day-to-day processing of operational tasks and duties. This is a multi-entity role as the team acts as an operational hub for StoneX Financial Ltd (SFL), StoneX Financial Nigeria (SFN) and StoneX Financial Europe (SFE) securities businesses. Roles include ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of trades, with a focus on fixed income and equity trade settlements. The successful candidate will be involved in handling portions of the trade lifecycle, post trade from pre-matching to resolving settlement fails. This role requires regular interaction with clients, SFL SME Team, and other internal and external teams. There will be the additional opportunity to provide support with trade reconciliations, cash management, and collateral oversight as well as contributing to various operational projects and handling ad hoc tasks as needed. The successful candidate will report into the local Securities Operations Senior Analyst(s). 

 

 

Primary duties will include  

  • Ensure timely processing of fixed income and equity trades, monitor trade settlement, ensuring that all trades are pre-matched, liaising with clients and brokers to address any discrepancies.
  • Monitoring and following up on trade fails, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Exceptions Managing trade reconciliations, helping to resolve breaks where applicable.
  • Assist the team senior analysts to perform checks and controls.
  • Assist to write procedures with the oversight from the Senior Analysts.
  • Play active role in identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Ensure timely completion of market specific tasks.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • A minimum of 1+ years’ experience within a securities Operations team setup.
  • Proven experience and an understanding of the trade lifecycle and settlement process for fixed income and/or equity trades.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Education / Certification Requirements: 

  • Graduate in any stream, preferably commerce background
  • Any Industry qualifications or certifications is desirable but not necessary.

 

 

Working environment:

  • Office – In office 4 days a week as a minimum requirement.
  • Travel Requirements – There may be a requirement to travel to the UK for initial training.
