Overview

This role is to become the manager/team lead of a new team within our Bangalore Operations Hub with a focus on the Securities products business area.  The manager will provide oversight and escalation for the team handling the day-to-day processing of securities transactions (Fixed Income and Equities) for the EMEA entities within StoneX.   They will report into the EMEA Head of Securities Operations functionally and the Operations Manager locally. 

Responsibilities

Position Purpose: The role is to on board a security settlement manager/team lead for the EMEA security settlement process. The process will be migrated from UK and a new team will be established within our Bangalore Operations hub. The team manager will provide oversight and escalation for the team handling the day-to-day processing of security transactions (Equities and Fixed Income) for the EMEA entities within Stonex. They will report into the EMEA head of Securities operations functionally and the Operations Manager locally. 

 

 

Primary duties will include  

  • Day to Day oversight and first escalation for the securities operations team within Bangalore Ops Hub
  • Provide oversight for all daily controls and ensure KPI’s are adhered to within the team.
  • Work with EMA Sec Ops Head for additional tasks and processes to be knowledge transferred into the Ops team
  • Organize and Support additional training and enable deepening of securities knowledge within the local team.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • Several years of experience in leading a team, ideally in a security’s operational role, with at least 5 years supervising an Operations team. A minimum of ten years' overall experience in Financial Services is required.
  • Knowledge and experience of different securities products (Equities and Fixed Income) and roles within a securities Operations team i.e. Settlements, Corporate Actions, Income Processing and Transaction Taxes.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective project, organization, and time management skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Be an Excellent leader and be able to manage people effectively.

 

What makes you stand out:  

  • Ability to manage and implement multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of settlement mechanisms (CREST, EUROCLEAR, DTC, etc).
  • High level accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Trade flow knowledge from execution to settlement.

Education / Certification Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

 

 

Working environment:

  • Required to work from Office - 4 days minimum requirement

Travel requirements - Per business requirement will need to travel to UK
