Responsibilities

Position Purpose:

As part of the Operations Systems team at StoneX, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the systems that support our Derivatives business. You’ll be the go-to expert for daily operational issues, system enhancements, and vendor interactions, ensuring smooth, efficient processes. You’ll also lead exciting strategic projects, from setting up new products to enhancing system capabilities, driving innovation and efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Primary duties will include:

Daily BAU (40%)

  • Support Operations as the main point of contact for operations system management
  • Internal escalation contact for support issues and triage for further analysis
  • Liaise with vendors on system-related support and implementation issues, bugs, fixes, enhancements
  • Provide Ops system technical advisory for stakeholders for complex issues

Change/Re-engineering (60%)

  • Active engagement in ongoing tactical and strategic projects and change management
  • New product set up and testing
  • Spearhead development of system capabilities to support new business initiatives and requirements
  • Review system functionality to ensure alignment with market and regulatory requirements
  • Constantly review and analysis to improve processes, increase efficiency, and contribute to the overall profitability of the desks you support

 

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Derivatives Operations
  • Familiarity with wholesale financial markets, products and clearing house mechanisms
  • Prior experience required in one or more of the below:
    • Prior experience as a Super user in Derivatives back-office systems
    • Strong subject-matter expertise as a functional user
    • Consulting background in back-office systems support or implementation

 

What makes you stand out:

  • Excel VBA and SQL knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

 

Education / Certification Requirements:

  • A good Bachelor’s degree or exceptionally strong results in a Diploma or equivalent qualification
