Business Segment Overview: Engage in a deep variety of business-critical activities that keep our company running efficiently. Position Purpose: Supervise, lead and participate in the design, implementation and operations and support of high-performance Messaging and Market Data middleware and software components.

 

Technology Ecosystem:

  • Back End: .NET, Java
  • Messaging platforms: Red Hat AMQ, ActiveMQ Artemis, IBM MQ, Solace, RabbitMQ or similar
  • Cloud: Azure, AWS, Google
  • Protocols: FIX, API
  • Operating systems: Linux

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include:

  • Provide technical guidance to the development team.
  • Assume technical leadership in FIX Protocol related components and APIs.
  • Work closely with Business development and Support teams for Institutional FIX clients.
  • Help prioritize team’s work, manage stakeholder and changes in requirements.
  • Adopt and promote best practices on Software development and teamwork.
  • Be proactive in anticipating and resolving problems.
  • Collaborate and provide support to other Dev teams.
  • Promote good solution quality, automated testing, reliable documentation.

Qualifications

 To land this role you will need

  • Advanced knowledge and experience of FIX Protocol and ecosystem.
  • Willingness to learn and adopt to innovative technologies.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Forward thinking, self-starter, able to provide guidance to others.
  • Very good knowledge and industry experience with either .Net or Java development ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of implementation, configuration, and support of high-performance FIX Protocol solutions and APIs for Trading and Market Data domains.
  • Practical knowledge of Messaging platforms and their ecosystems, for example Red Hat AMQ, ActiveMQ Artemis, IBM MQ, Solace, RabbitMQ or similar.
  • Good working knowledge of Linux environment.
  • Developing applications for Cloud / Container deployments.

Education / Certification Requirements: 

  • bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline or proven years of experience.

Working environment:

  • Remote with 1-2 times travel per month to our office in Cracow.
