Business Segment Overview 

 

Commercial: With boots on the ground authenticity at the heart of everything we do, our comprehensive array of commercial products and services enable you to work directly with our clients, across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance and more.

 

Position Purpose:

 

To oversee, and provide leadership and guidance to, a number of support teams based in India providing offshored services to StoneX entities based in both the US and EMEAA.

This role will include, but not be limited to, oversight of teams involved in Trade Processing, Operations Systems, Reconciliations, Brokerage and Client Services to ensure, alongside the management team in the US and EMEAA, that robust control frameworks are in place and standards are being maintained through regular review. 

The role will require the individual to provide on the ground feedback, guidance and leadership to local staff, to maximise their development, as well as to identify, and resolve staffing issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include:

  • Strategy and Development – Work with US and EMEAA Derivatives Operations management (“Management”) to develop and execute on StoneX’s strategy to grow its presence in India, working with various stakeholders on the effective planning, and timely implementation, of further offshoring.
  • Team Leadership - Provide leadership, guidance and direction to India based staff within Derivatives Operations, to develop people, foster innovation and personal accountability, as well as embedding the StoneX culture within the team.
  • Operational Governance – Alongside the US and EMEAA Derivatives Operations management teams, implement and maintain a robust control framework for processes offshored to India, ensuring that controls undergo regular review in terms of their execution and effectiveness.
  • People – Work with both Management and Human Resources to identify high performing individuals, ensuring we are investing appropriate time and resource into those employees who we expect to play significant roles in the future of StoneX.
  • Development – Develop and subsequently maintain an intern program, bringing in entry level staff with the intention of rotating them through the various offshored teams.
  • Escalation – To act as the first point of escalation to local staff, in terms of both work and personal (where appropriate) related queries or issues, supporting the firm to benefit from both time zone efficiencies as well as local knowledge and/or laws.
  • Communication – Maintain effective communication between the local staff and the various regions that have offshored tasks to India, ensuring appropriate information is disseminated from Management and action is taken to implement change where required.
  • Key Performance Indicators – Identify key performance indicators to measure performance of offshored teams, gathering the relevant metrics and sharing with Management relevant insights in order to make well informed decisions.

 

 

Qualifications

 

To land this role you will need:

  • Previous experience of successfully managing a medium sized offshored operational team.
  • Proven track record of developing high performing teams, delivering streamlined operational workflows.
  • Extensive experience in a derivative operations setting required, including fundamental understanding of futures and options, as well as their associated lifecycle events.
  • Knowledge of ION XTP and/or FIS GMI, and their various modules, preferred but not required.
