Position Purpose: The Data Ops Team will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of data management and analytics processes within the organization, overseeing data operations, implementing frameworks & standards, and providing continuous improvement in data-related workflows.            

• Corporate: Engage in a deep variety of business-critical activities that keep our company running efficiently. From strategic marketing and financial management to human resources and operational oversight, you’ll have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement game-changing policies.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations including monitoring, data observability, data ingestion, regular checks for issues, anomalies, and bottlenecks & issue resolution
• Support the team to take the capabilities of the platforms and put them into an operational practice
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and IT teams, to understand data requirements and ensure data operations meet business needs
• Collaborate with the data engineering team to optimize data workflows and ensure efficient data operations
• Implement monitoring systems and processes to track the performance and observability of data
• Identify bottlenecks, and proactively address performance issues to ensure high availability and responsiveness
• Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and best practices in data management and operations to enhance data capabilities
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data operation processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices
• Design, implement, and sustain a DataOps framework, facilitate cross-team collaboration, optimize processes & tools, leverage testing automation

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Ability to work and define best practices in colloboration with Agile Development teams
• Hands-on development and programming experience on any Object Oriented Programming Language such as Java/C#/Python.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture, design and business processes
• Knowledge in Distributed application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Experience with modern agile software delivery practices such as Scrum/Kanban, Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) and Automation using Gradle or equivalent automation framework
• Knowledge of container orchestration using native or managed Kubernetes and Infrsatstucture as Code tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible
• Requires supporting teams for CI/CD for a hybrid cloud native environment.
• Knowledge of data and persistence technologies such as SQL, No-SQL (ex. Cassandra, Dynamo DB)
• Experience with data streaming, messaging and event driven systems such as Kafka, Kinesis, AWS MSK
• Good understanding of Security and Data Encryption principles such as OAuth, Kerberos and KMS solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for the role
