Overview

StoneX is one of the fastest growing institutional dealers in the securities industry. Within fixed income, product expansion is now extending to geographic reach. The US Treasury business is looking for a high-caliber candidate to join our sales effort in Tokyo, complementing the 2023 expansion in the region headquartered in Singapore. This candidate will work closely with regional traders and other salespeople, while building a portfolio of accounts within Japan.

Responsibilities

  • Drive institutional client activity in the US Treasury product among Japanese investors through pre-existing relationships. Institutional clients may be any of banks, trusts, pensions, insurance, and other asset managers.
  • Use an entrepreneurial spirt to continuously prospect for new client relationships in the region.
  • Maintain an interpersonal presence with both clients and prospects through both meetings and entertainment that may require business travel
  • Cross-sell StoneX services including our capabilities in custody, clearing, global payments, and repo; as well as other products such as MBS and Agency debt.
  • Share local client knowledge of market activity and interest across fixed income products with teams in both New York and Singapore.
  • Support colleagues in their own efforts with all the above duties, including on a daily transactional basis to ensure the best-in-class client experience never falters
  • Ensure absolute compliance with all industry regulatory rules as well as firm policies
  • Maintain a demeanor that is consistent with a positive and collegial work environment for all

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of direct institutional interest rate sales experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the US Treasury and other rate products, including market dynamics
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship building; including a robust existing account base
  • Unrelenting drive to grow your own client business, in the context of a team effort
  • Excellent communications skill in Japanese/English
  • Client skills spanning attention, professionalism, and persistence
  • Genuine interest in and awareness of global markets fluctuations
  • JSDA License
